Stopped tasks suck but a good task to end the comp.

Italy celebrates in the goal field.

Italy jumped the Austrians to win both the team and individual with Alex Ploner the new world champ. Jonny came good at the end to nail 2nd. Australia was jumped by the Brazilians on the last day, dropping to 5th, but just holding out the Americans.
The last word champion Atilla Bertok having an intimate moment with new world champ Alex Ploner. Alex is also the current rigid world champ. (Pic thanks to Camo)
We are proud of Jonny.

There was plenty of drama on the last day with the leader Manfred landing at the start and a few names not completing the task. Julia flew for 7 hours to run over the 8pm time limit and land 3km short.
The two stopped tasks cost me heavily being a bit behind and at base when stopped. I had enough height to glide out the first stopped task and did finish the second 15 min after it was called. As drew Cooper used to say "If me aunty had nackers she'd be me uncle".
The relief at the end of a big comp is visible in all the pilots. Last nights party was a warm up for tonight.
